Hi Dennis; Received your message re: the stack. It was 671' tall (I think). Tallest in the world. It was demolished in 1971 by explosives because it was a public newsense, emitting toxic wastes into the atmospher. I have the pictures in my family album, not available at the moment. Some times when the smelter was upset us kids had to leave school because of the sulfur being emitted. This was at John Swett Hi in Crockett.
