Inmate rights advocates and inmate sympathizers run this agency and have for a very long time. You never hear an agency administrator, or a board member speak out against the parole of a high profile, hardcore, violent felon. The agency even places emphasis on “informal resolution” of disciplinary cases. A lot of cases end up in the trash can. Others are resolved with a simple talking to.
The funny thing is the agency wants to reduce uses of force, but they unwilling encourage force, when they toss out cases. Officers get frustrated, when a thug continues to disrespect them, with no consequences, whatsoever. Eventually the officer snaps and it’s boom boom slam slam time. “T Bone” “Feetwood”, “June Bug” and “Bobble Wobble” get their felonious butts kicked.
