Here it goes, at Smith unit, they send two officers to Montford unit to pick up an inmate. Smith officers arrive to Montford, pick the inmate up, head back to Smith unit, as they arrive back to Smith unit Warden Williams finds out only two officers were on the transport, (shouldn’t he have already known his unit only sent two officers, sounds like he is not aware of what is going on, on his unit. Here’s the kicker, Warden Williams reports the problem. He had to feel stupid knowing his unit caused the problem. So the Lt. At Montford received disciplinary(remember he didn’t send the transport officers, Smith unit did). The Lt. at Smith unit was demoted to a COV. I am so confused, why didn’t the Warden on down the chain receive disciplinary, they run the unit. The word is the Montford unit Lt. Should’ve supplied the Smith unit an officer for the transport back to Smith. So as that transport officer rides with Smith unit, guess what, he has to find a ride back to Montford.(Retard move). Oh wait, let’s pull another officer off a pod in another van to pick him up. Waste of State taxpayers money. The problem I have with this is Smith unit has always had a severe problem with staffing. Knowing this why do not the upper administration pitch in and help them out. Huntsville your problem isn’t always the staff it starts with your Warden. Remember back a while, this is the same warden that let his buddy come out of retirement, promote him to Lt. Out of retirement (by the way, he did terrible on the board, wasn’t even in the top four for selection)And then let him take off to take care of his dog because the dog got hurt. Let it be known he told the covering supervisor he had a family emergency. The Warden lied. If your going to hold people accountable, be fair and hold everybody accountable. Wait is this why we are 8000 officers short????? 8659846
