Hi Bert;
Thank You Very Much for the Advice, Not to Have a Hazardous Material Site.

: Hi Bert;
: Do you think I could use the Mecury Switch, that were used for Oil Burner
: Relays, & or the Silent GE Wall Switch for the Capacitor Charge
: disgharge?
: I have not experimented with the Mecury Switch & I'm not Sure if the
: Glass Vile of Mecury would Shatter, if I used it to Switch the Capacitor
: Charge.
: Have you ever used or Tried the Mecury Switch?
: Thank You. Roger
: Roger,
: You need a switch that can safely handle thousands or tens of thousands of
: amperes without welding or getting destroyed. Commercial mercury switches,
: even a hevay duty mercury plunger relays, will not work for your
: application since they cannot be depended upon to safely pass the high
: discharge current, and the discharge may rupture the glass container. I do
: not use mercury switches or ignitrons for any of my work. You don't want
: your lab declared a hazardous materials site... :^)
: Best regards,
