With regard to the acid reflux medicines, I also am concerned about taking them. I mostly take Zantac and do not want to take Prilosec because I have read that it can be bad for the bones. My gastroenterologist was a big fan of Prilosec. But my GP believes in taking the lowest strength of acid reflux medicine possible if you don't have an ulcer or other more serious condition (new studies have confirmed this). I've had osteopenia for years, but now my hip has crossed over the line to osteoporosis. I've read that Tamoxifen does cause bone loss the way Aromasin & Arimidex do. So I hope you can hang in there with the Tamoxifen. I took Tamoxifen for a year before Aromasin & Arimidex were on the market. I had side effects with it, but it was no where near as difficult for me to take as Aromasin & Arimindex were.
