Chicago’s downtown has an issue with class B and C office buildings.
The new, post Covid class A office buildings are almost all 90% plus leased (BMO tower, B of A tower, Salesforce tower).
Mayor Johnson officially greenlit the Lasalle st conversion of class C office buildings there by some of the best developers in the city (same guys who did Trib Tower and lots of west loop conversions).
I’m pretty bullish on Chicago’s downtown because you have a pretty great subway system and rail, a newly opened and expanded riverwalk, with a world class museums parks and a lakefront just steps away.
