Big wages are not a sign of how good a player is and the Nuttall saga is our proof. If it was, Man utd would be top 3 in the prem.
I think if we had just spent for eg; 3x £100k on midfielders, we would have got better than we have.
That is not a lot of money in football today, but we could have nicked a couple of decent players off clubs desperate for the cash.
The board have a big decision if we don't get promoted, and that is how much are they going to push the boat out next season, because if we don't capture some better players, we are in this division for the foreseeable.
Personally, I'd rather us have the worst ground in the championship than the best in the national league.
