Not true that we had nobody willing to run with the ball and create a decisive chance. Dallas did exactly that twice, after he came on. And the second time was only stopped by an appalling ref decision. Although, apart from those two moments, he was completely anonymous.
We did NOT resort to hoofball, except when the defenders obviously couldn't see a good positive pass. They were clearly under instructions to try and keep the ball on the deck, if possible, but it's not always possible.
Bromley were a very competent outfit and clearly trying to win the match. They didn't resort to keepball until the last couple of minutes. If we had been any more adventurous than we were in the second half, we would almost inevitably have conceded with a misplaced pass in midfield letting them in. That almost happened a couple of times, as it was. I thought our overall performance was a distinct improvement over the last few home games.
Rather odd Sachdev being given MoM. He made two excellent last ditch blocks. But that was about it. Got better as the game went on, but doesn't appear to have the physicality needed at this level. Particularly in the air. But no other latics player really stood out. MoM should have been the Bromley keeper, by a mile.
