And that's another thing I heard on the radio this afternoon whilst on the school run with a forest fan phoning in saying their mitigating circumstances were partly that they weren't expecting promotion because they had so many players on loan who all left in the summer and then they therefore had to spend loads of money on new players!!!! Firstly, why were there so many loan players in the first place? It suggests bad planning and management to me and secondly did they really need 22 new players?
But I completely agree with your point about the original players diong a great job getting the club promoted and then being told to clear off. It also makes our story even better!
