Yes, of course mate. I didn't mean to trivialise anything. I've lost several friends to depression, both male and female, and one family member. They were all young or youngish, and the vast majority of them had active social lives and plenty of friends. It's a horrendous affliction. Well done for posting what you did, I'm guessing that can't have been easy.
