I'm familiar with the Parker, it was a 20 gauge CHE (a rarer grade than a Specialty); and given that the Smith is a 12-bore, and that the Smith was shipped with two sets of barrels and the 24" set not the primary set, this example is not even close to a fair comparison. The photos I've seen were poor, but I see the stock as repairable given the miracles I've seen performed on stocks with greater damage. So, more opinions please.
