I have a LC Smith (fulton years) 12 ga. featherlight with a fracture in the solid rib that goes from barrel to barrel. I noticed it the other day while shooting some clays (1 oz loads). I hadn't noticed it before, but it is small so maybe it has been there years. My question is what are your folks thoughts on continuing to shoot it? I was hoping to pheasant hunt with it this fall (bismuth or niceshot) and maybe some five stand, but I don't want to create more damage. If thoughts are it should be fixed, any recommendations? It's my dad's old gun so it has significant value to me.
