Trying to sort something out in my mind, which is challenging these days.
Good bit of discussion on the Internet about "Parker colors", aka black and white, regarding their damascus barrels. I've also heard it stated that all American guns were factory finished black and white, rather than brown. +/- 95% of the tubes came from Belgium.
What were factory "L.C. Smith colors"? Black and white, like Parkers were black and white? I've done some barrels, and gotten good feedback stating that they looked as they should. They were not what I would call "black and white" like images in DGJ that Dr. Gaddy produced.
Put more simply, were L.C. Smith damascus barrels as black and white as Parker barrels when they left the factory?
