Hello Bill Welcome : With the information you gave its 1912 or 1919. So what that means is short chambers less than 2 3/4 in. Don't shoot modern ammo in it ! but shells are available from RST or Polywad. As to value if it's been in the family for a hundred years? Priceless We can't give anyone a price because that depends on condition. The good people around here shy away from that because that's what makes this a great web site.Good information honest opinions an we don't price other peoples stuff ! But are more than willing to help anyone out with what ever problems you may have. Look on Gun broker, Guns America, Guns International or where ever ? But Thanks for Stopping in. We love hearing about LC Smiths
