Billy, I believe your shotgun is from 1882 and is a Quality A double barrel hammer gun. The top of the barrel should have L.C. Smith Maker of Baker Guns, Syracuse, N.Y. on them. Since there are so very few of these guns around it is hard to judge price. The Quality A was the lowest priced gun made. The value was $55.00 then with a straight grip stock and $5.00 more for a pistol gripped stock. Without seeing it and going by your description of good, I would estimate it at between $500-$800. This would be if still in working condition, with minimal bore pitting, decent wood and no rust.
