Don, I would say your gun is from 1884. The serial numbers for these bar action hammer guns started in either very late 1883 or in 1884 at serial number 10000. The patent date for the full side lock bar action lock was November 27, 1883. I have a Quality F, 10 gauge sn 12952 that has this patent date stamped on the inside of the lock and I'm sure yours would also.
