Using Brownells Whiting - TCE vs. Xylene Archived Message

I am trying to treat some LCS Stocks with Brownell's old-fashioned Whiting to draw out the excess oil in the stock head, but didn't realize when I ordered the Whiting that it also required mixing with TCE. I have had trouble finding TCE, but I was told recently that I could just is easily use xylene, which seems to be more accessible, to mix with the brownells Whiting. I really don't know an awful lot about chemicals and their similarities but I want to make sure that I don't do anything that will ruin or damage the stocks. Any advice?
