    Tom, it is rare to see chain Damascus barrels on a low end F grade hammer gun, but I have one also. Serial number 152357, circa 1907 with 32" barrels.
    I also have serial numbers for Armor Steel barrels and one for Bernard barrels.

    My thoughts are that you could order anything within reason, and if you had a No. 2 with chain Damascus and liked it you could order a F grade with them.

    If my memory serves me right, I believe that the last hammer guns were found in a warehouse and they were from around 1923 and serial numbered in the mid thirties. If they had been originally serial numbered after 1918 they would have an "H" prefix. If you have the pictures, you could verify that.
