Hello to all. I purchased a 1924 Ideal grade shotgun and have since learned that the forearm is incorrect. The shotgun is very nice, has extractors not ejectors. Serial number matches on forearm, receiver and barrels. My understanding is that all extractor guns came with a push rod to remove forearm. This gun has the roll button which I understand came only on extractor guns. Serial number starts with an R not an E for extractor guns. I am trying to figure out why I have roll button forearm when the serial number on forearm metal is for a non-ejector model. Is it possible someone could have order an extractor gun and upgraded the forearm to the roll button option? Thanks…have shown this to many folks, we are stumped.
