I agree but I still think it would be an interesting experiment. I have been repairing the butt plates with epoxy so the thought of rejuvenating the pads is intriguing. Most replacements are probably from china although the silvers pad can still be had from England. I've replaced enough pads to know that 75 bucks is reasonable It's a fairly simple but messy job which requires a resperator and takes me at.least two hours . Consequently I have no old dried out pads on the property. All the recoil pads are supple here, all the girls are beautiful.
