I just acquired a 10 gauge with Damascus barrels serial # 47073. According to the serial number look up on this website the gun was made in 1922. I was thinking the O grades were pre 1913. The barrels seem to be solid with a couple of minor dents; however, they do have some pitting. I was hoping to shoot the gun. So here are my questions: 1. Were O grades made in 1922? The receiver does have an O on if and the forearm has an ebony tip. 2. Who or where might I get the barrels checked to see if they would be safe to shoot RST ten gauge shells.
