Sorry i havent replied guys, I thought I would get an email about your replies.
Anyway, The spring that I have was slightly curved and the tip was mangled like someone forced it out without cocking it. I straightened it in my vice and tried but the forearm still falls off. I'm gonna purchase a new spring and hope that sorts it all out. thanks for the replies!
