Last weekend I went to a local gun show here in PA with no particular acquisition in mind as I recently picked up a very nice LC Specialty grade which is currently at my friend Dewey Vicknair's for a restoration. Wouldn't you know that the first table I came to had a 20 gauge field grade Elsie prominently displayed for sale. I was smitten. It had approximately 40-45 per cent of the original case colors , the wood was in very good shape and the barrels were clean and had a nice ring to them. All serial numbers matched. The dealer had it for sale for $1900 but came down to $1700 after some negotiations. I took his card and plan on offering $1500 for the gun. Any thoughts? What would be a good price for this gun?
