    Hello Mike, and welcome to the forum. I've had the same problem with several of my guns. I lay the barrels down, fore-end facing up, and tap the rear of the fore-end forward (away from the breech end) with a rubber mallet or dead blow hammer. If you look closely you'll see that the fore-end has actually risen up slightly near the barrel lug, and tapping it forward will allow the fore-end to seat properly again on the barrel flats. Once it has reseated, you can remove the fore-end as you normally would with the roller release. If that doesn't work (and it usually will) you can try driving a wooden wedge (like a half clothes pin) between the muzzle end of the fore-end and the barrels where your finger would ordinarily go. Just make sure that you are holding the roller release in the proper position to remove the fore-end. Good luck!
