Your gun was made in 1894 and it came with Chain Damascus barrels, by 1895 Crown Steel barrels were available. The barrel rib extension would be stamped Hunter Arms Co. Fulton, N.Y. in a single line. As far as the NP (Nitro Proofing) on it, I doubt it but some one more knowledgeable than me could help, and I doubt that the ventilated rib or even the solid ventilated rib was available then. Pictures would tell more than can be written, so until you can post some pictures I can't add anything else. A letter might help IF it was done at the factory later and then again it might not be recorded.
