    Older Smith 12 with 32" raised ventilated rib installed later- 3" chambers DT AE 8 lbs.

    Receiver group: both lockplates line engraved, centered scroll rosettes-no game birds. All pins and screw heads engraved, no buggered heads or marring of metal anywhere. 3 position safety, slide has a "window" to verify SAFE letters show in mid-position. PG 18 LPI checking Hawkins red pad- slight side vents, black spacer aprox 3/16" thick, a 14 and 1/8" LOP from front trigger- 1" DAC- 1 and 1/2" DAC 4% pitchline from heel to toe of buttstock group.

    Weight of receiver group is aprox. 3 and 1/2 lbs. Right water table marked 1074 in both large type and also "double stamped?" as it is also in smaller case type. Left water table marked: PAT'D MAR 29,83 JULY 13,86 and OCT 5,86. No firing pin bushuings or brass retaining screws.

    Barrels: Aproc wt. 4 and 1/4 lbs. Raised matted ventilated rib on 11 spaced posts, single brass front sight bead- rear rib extension has expansion slot (3/64" filled with silver- top is engraved as is the top rib extension. Rib is tapered, 1/4" wide at muzzle to 1/2" width where it mates to the sloping (aprox 12 degree) rear bar-rib is aprox. 1/8" thick for entire lenf=gth of same.

    Forearm group: Aprox 8 and 5/8" long, iron marked with serial number 1074 and also Grade stamp 2- all screws and pins engraved and not "buggered", knurled roll release mechanism, front tip has inset ebony- checking matches that of the buttstock group at 18 LPI with borders.
