Jim: your gun was made in 1924, and could be a Long Range Wild Fowl model which was introduced in 1923. Are the barrel flats marked "Chambers 3 Inches"? If not, they may have been lengthened by other than the Hunter Arms factory. Please note that a 2 3/4" chamber will accept an unfired 3" shell as the shell length refers to the fired/open shell.
