Need to determine if I have a rare or just old gun. Was given this LC Smith field grade 12 gauge about 1944 and have not fired it in years. The serial no on the barrel and forestock is R65001. The barrel is 32 inches long and appears to accept a 3 inch shell. Stock, finish and bore in what I would say is good condition, but I have not been into guns for 40 years. Kids have no interest in guns, so I need to plan for some sales.
