Jim, it's been a long time since I have removed one of these. My recollection is that the rolling part has to be turned backwards to compress the spring loaded actuator, them it can be pushed out to the side. If my memory is correct it is hard to push out because of the drag on the compressed actuator. proceed at your own risk.
