My shop is only about 20 minutes from Fulton. I grew up in the area and it's definitely L.C. country around here. I met one of the last living stockmakers in Oswego a few years ago, I believe his name was Joe Smith. We chatted for a while and he told me all about how the second floor caved in sending him looking for work.
Cool things turn up now and again around here - things that came home in lunchboxes or were liquidated when the factory closed. I've got two factory machine carved stocks (on loan) that were never fit to a frame. History in your hands!
