Need some help in evaluating this Hunter Arms gun Serial No. 315816- all the sets of numbers match, in 4 places. 30" actually 29 and 15/16" Crown Steel barrels wt. stamping on both is 3 upper case number and above it in smaller case a 4=-on both barrels- also the large letter 2- Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. on rt. barrel, same on left except the f in Off. was overstruck with a Capital case R- Also H.A. Co. and the initials WGR- Double triggers, extractors, 3-position safety, lever to right of center of tang when closed, bushed firing pins with the brass screws at top dead center of firing pin holes-all mechanicals check out perfectly-both barrels full choked, with 2 and 7/8" long chambers- safety works perfectly in either mode, sears are blacoked, no "hook up or doubling" when test fired with Skeet lo-base loads- both barrels shoot dead to point of aim with no "cross-over" No splits in the stock by the locks or upper and lower tangs, all screw heads intact with no "buggering" evident- gun weights 6 lbs. 14 oz. on digital scales- std. walnut checkered stocks with pg and black plastic cap with center screw, black buttplate no logo like the Parkers- mid-section has horizontal lines- recessed head screws- not reblued or refinished- barrels ring true and have original dull blueing or blacking, no dents or mars, and bores are mirror bright- frame. lock plates, top lever and trigger guard bow are engraved- no case colors left- sort of a dull silver patina-buttstock hows DAC of 1 and 3/4", DAH of 2 and 7/8" no cast- and when put against a 90 degree vertical plane (door jamb) with the buttplate flush on the floor and the breech touching the jamb- there is a downpitch of 3 and 1/8" from jamb to the front bead sight. Any ideas as to when this "Vintage Elsie" left the factory? Thanks--
