The one thing you didn't mention was what wording may be stamped on the bottom of the barrels. Each tube should be stamped "London Steel" on the underside between the barrel flats and fore end hanger lug; and if so, are indeed fluid steel tubes and not Damascus or Twist. As to Buck Hamlin, if you properly described the problem; you got the right advice. That said, if the barrels have "slight" buldges; I strongly encourage you to have the barrels inspected and properly repaired (buldges have always been common problems with shotgun barrel tubes, and Hunter's repair department regularly repaired barrel buldges). If I were considering buying such a gun with this problem, I would not unless I was convinced in advance the barrel problem was minor and repairable; and further, could purchase the gun at a price reflecting this barrel damage and the cost of having a proper repair performed.
