Tom, congratulations, 1922 would be the correct year. With Armor Steel barrels it would be a Field Grade. The easist way to determine guage without a telescoping gage or a taper gage would be to get a 9/16" (.562) dowel for a 20 ga., a 5/8" (.625) dowel for a 16 ga., and an 11/16" (.687) dowel for a 12 ga.. A good quality hardwood dowel will be close to these in size. The muzzle end of a 20 ga. should be anywhere from .615 (bore) to .585 (full) +/- 16 ga. .662 (bore) to .630 (full )+/- 12 ga. .729 (bore) to .688 (full) +/- Good luck and leep us posted and hope you will become a member of the L.C.S.C.A.
