If it's a post 1913 gun the grade would be roll-stamped atop the right barrel (which with Armor steel barrels would have been a Field grade). Without that stamp, it is a pre-1913 gun; and records for guns in that serial number range no longer exist. At any rate, Hunter made guns in 16,12,10, and 8 gauge in the 4XXXX serial number range during that production time frame, and did not mark bore size on the gun; so the best thing to do is take it to a gun shop and have it checked.
