Jason: Some years ago I heard of a Monogram with special order gold-inlayed birds; and although this looks to be authentic, it would be impossible to judge from the photos. You might want to ask Cliff White about this gun, as Cliff may have been the collector who told me about such a gun. At any rate, it is not uncommon to see a Monogram with unusual engraving. I saw one a few years ago (a 12-bore; 32") engraved with geese and ducks and only a small amount of scroll; so Hunter would definately give the customer what he wanted outside the norm.
