    David,
Well, with the serial number FWS1, we know that the gun is in Brophy's book and that it is has a featherweight frame; therefore the replacement ejector iron and other parts must be from another featherweight gun. We really need to see photos of the barrels and existing foreiron before we can say with any certainty what parts are needed. I say that because, if the only fore iron available was the manual extrator type, then the extractor rod in the barrel should be the one-piece unit also; as the standard extractor type fore iron typically won't work with the two-piece extractors designed for auto ejectors (unless the lifter piece on the iron has been modified). If the barrels have the one-piece shell lifter, and were designed for that unit originally, the barrel could require modification to work with auto-ejectors. Bottom line, some photos illustrating exactly what is there would be a great help.

    Dan:
For whatever reason, FWS2 didn't rate being recorded in the shipping ledgers; so I don't how how we can tell you anything you don't know already. As FYI, I've heard that a separate ledger was maintained for employee guns, and I've also heard rumors that this ledger still exists; but it's ownership and whereabouts remain a mystery. Maybe FWS2 is recorded in that ledger and it will be "rediscovered" at some point in the future.
