John checked the gun today and said it was good to shoot, bulges were only 1/1000. He did saw stay away from magnum shells which I plan to. You are correct on the barrels. Is a letter from Cody the best way to find out more about the gun? The trigger guard has the name George W. Clay engraved in it and is very elaborately done, the factory seemed very interested in the gun because of the name but did not say why. I just need t find the letter at my dad's house if it still exists, as stated in earlier post the factory fixed the gun and offered to purchase it twice according to my dad. It now has a new period pad installed and will go crow hunting with me in the morning. John also checked the chokes-imp & mod. should make a good all-around shooter. Thanks for your help.
