    Homer -

I've withheld comment on this thread, but now I feel it's time to say my piece...

Your comments, almost from the first, led me to believe that you weren't asking much of anything. Perhaps you wanted us to validate your fantasy. Perhaps you were seeking bragging rights. Or perhaps your communication skills are a bit lacking. I don't know.

What I do know is that you started by quoting erroneous factoids, claiming an outrageous value, then were unrepentant when faced with data based on hard facts. I'm sorry to say it, but your writing style and general demeanor haven't left me with a favorable impression.

Here's a bit of a heads up... This is a site where gentlemen and ladies discuss L.C.Smith shotguns. There is a policy in place of no offers to buy or sell. Thus, nobody has an incentive to low-ball anything.

There's a wealth of experience here backed up by the latest reference materials. Further, no one person could get away with bad behavior because this is a public forum and many sets of eyes are always watching.

You have been informed of the latest data and received a fair opinion on your gun's market value. Obviously you disagree, which is your right.

I would suggest that a gentleman such as yourself might consider thanking all those who offered their knowledge, then quietly leave the site as we aren't here to engage in fruitless debate with you.

And before I take my leave... Your gun's value will only be determined at such time as you accept whatever amount is offered. Should you believe that your gun is worth the amount you quoted and a potential buyer believe the same, then we all stand corrected and owe you a debt of thanks because you'll have made our guns worth a LOT more.

    Best,
