    You've obviously done your homework Jerry. The lowest grade until introduction of the Quality No. 1 in 1892 was the Quality No. 2 with Chain Damascus. The No. 1 had Laminated Steel until 1898, then 'Good' Damascus, and the lockplate was engraved. The No. 0 was introduced in 1895 with Twist steel.
    A 34XXX should be an 1891 date of production, but have you confirmed the number with Cody?
    Maybe the Quality No. 1/2?
