Jim, I'm sure that I can speak for both the Smith and Parker teams when I say that the Challenge was born for the fellowship, not for the sake of whose gun wins what. I, for one, have attended to meet Association friends I have made on the respective sites, and I value those friendships more than the bragging rights to a particular event. I'm also confident that if Deep River could accomodate other associations for a three day event, the current attendees would at least consider it. Further, your suggestion smacks of turning the Challenge into a professional event, which it was never intended to be. Lots of us shoot other brands--- I, for one can count seven different makers in my "stable" and, truth be told, I shoot better with a brand other than my Smiths! The Challenge is a friendly, fun, fellowship event, and I hope it stays that way.
