First of all, Congratulations to all who participated in the L C Smith Parker Challenge on both teams Hammer & Hammerless. This was the first year in the past few that I was unable to make it to Sanford to cheer you guys on. Win or loose it is still a shoot about sportsmanship and the charitable contribution made from the proceeds. Over on the DGS BBS site there are some posting that it is no longer a "challenge" since the Parker boys have won it 3 times in a row. The question is being asked weather to bring in another well known gun maker, or even drop the challenge event completely. Also asked what does the L C Smith Team Need to compete? One answer " Better Shooters" Better Guns" When did the the L C Smith Parker Challenge Cup stop being a FUN event for all of us who have a love of these old guns, be they Side lock or box lock to enjoy a weekend of shooting and raising a little money for charity? Sometime we take life just a little TOO seriously, I don't have the answers. This is just my opinion and I could be wrong
