What you have is a rare Monogram Ejector ("ME") that is recorded in the Brophy book as a 12-bore with 30" barrels that shipped from the gun works on January 11, 2004. The Monogram grade was the 3rd highest grade Smith from this time period (behind the A3 and A2 Grade), and would have originally shipped with Whitworth Steel barrels (or Krupp or Finest Damascus on special order). Whitworth barrels are very rare, are seldom seen for sale; and are also quite costly when found (the last available set of Whitworth barrels that I was aware of sold several years ago for $1500); but the same is true for period Krupp or Damascus barrels of this high quality. This gun can be restored using an alternative set of barrels; but not all regular frame barrels are interchangeable, which further complicates your search. Are you also missing the ejector foreiron (another items not easily located)? Bottom line, it will be very costly to restore this gun to original Monogram quality standards; but, given the rarity of this grade, I hope you will undertake the challenge; as it will make a beautiful "shooter". If there is anyway I can advise you on such a project, all you must do is ask.
