Matt: Does the problem with the Baker Spring occur when you are putting the forend on or is it difficult to remove? You must remember that the gun MUST be cocked before you attempt to re-install the forend. It is very difficult to re-install when the gun is not cocked and if forced it can split your wood and also bend your Baker Spring. Let us know how the forend acts when you place it back on the gun. Remember to cock it.
