I've been looking at buying a Field Grade 12 ga. and have been held back by the stock condition. The stock has several deep gouges that I would have trouble looking at everyday and have the desire to do something about them. My thoughts would run from a new stock to trying to sand them out and totally refinish it. Probably both are bad ideas. The rest of the gun is in relatively good condition. Should I just buy it and enjoy owning another LC Smith????
