i would have it inspected by a qualified gunsmith that is used to working with vintage double guns. (not the guy at your local pawnshop or Walmart) He can tell you if it is safe to use with light loads. Do not use the gun with the standard loads produced by the major makers, there are several small companys making shells the are designed to be used in vintage equipment. Post your location and Revdoc can probably give you a qualified smith.
