    Bob, you stated that the gun has been re-cocked. Do the cocking rods move freely? The forend ejector springs are compressed when they engage the split extractors and the "J" spring is centered in the notch on the barrel lug. You have to use downward force to get the ejector arms to seat against the extractor rods and then use even pressure to seat the fore end to where the roller release engages around the barrel lug and the whole fore end is then seated.
    I don't know what they meant by "not resetting".
    The receiver on ejector guns and non-ejector guns is the same (except for the "E" stamp). The fore ends are the only thing different.
