Rick, Opinions? As the old saying goes---no--- I won't go there----. Here's mine---your stamping on the barrels should read (R) L C smith Ideal Grade, (L) Hunter Arms, Fulton, NY. If you already have a Cody letter stating it's a 1914 vintage--- that's what it is. As revdocdrew stated, the Ideal wasn't introduced until 1913---prior to then it was the "O" grade and had only a minimum of engraving.
