Help identifying model and year of manufacture Archived Message Posted by GENE on September 14, 2007, 9:41 pm I have recently acquired a 12 ga. LC Smith serial number "46121" with "00" stamped under the serial number on the right water table. On the forend iron the serial number is stamped "M46121". I wonder if someone can help me identify the year of manufacture? According to the information on this website the 12 ga production for 1898 is numbered "44105 to 45999", and the serial numbers for 1899 begin with "100000".
