Good, you found out a few things. Don't be afraid to take it apart I/we will help you put it back. Just make sure before doing this that the gun has been opened and recocked. You will know if it has been fired because there will be a fairly loud noise of the ejectors trying to kick an empty shell out.
Lay the gun on a padded table with the trigger housing facing up and where the banjo shaped metal is just roll the wheel towards the muzzel and use your other hand and put a finger under the cut out at the end of the fore end and pry it off. (I hope you don't have long finger nails, you might break them). Once the fore end is off, open the gun carefully and seperate the barrels from the receiver. Then you can look at the patent numbers better and you should see a number stamped onto the receivers water table near the serial number stating what grade number it is. If a Grade 2 there will be a 2 there and on the barrel flats (water table) as well.
Putting it back is also fairly simple in that you don't have to do any thing will the roller, just have to make sure that the fore end metal is into the receiver far enought. The ejector springs sometimes want to hold it from going all the way in. Just ask and you will get help.
