The Trap package would not mean it had 3" chambers or that it was long range wild fowl. It would only mean that it was a trap gun, i.e. special forend, better wood, etc...
Early 1924 guns are the ones most often seen having 3" chambers with no Long Range Or Wild Fowl stamps, the barrel flats are stamped though. This has nothing to do with the "trap" package, but Trap shooters often ordered the longer chambers to lessen pressure and have more consistent patterns, that is if I understand some of the posts made about this.
